Exhibition Introduction

WCIFIT Overview

The Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT), hosted by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, is a major international event in western China. It serves as a key venue for diplomacy, trade cooperation, and investment promotion. As a vital platform for both domestic and international collaboration, WCIFIT also plays an essential role in showcasing the region's image and advancing its openness to the world.
The 7th WCIFIT will be held from May 22 to 25, 2025, at the Chongqing International Expo Center and the Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center. With the theme of "New Western China, New Manufacturing, New Services", the fair closely aligns with the two major positioning of being a pivotal strategic support for the Western Development in the new era and a comprehensive hub for inland opening-up, and gives full play to the "three roles". Centering around major national strategies such as the Western Development, Double City Economic Circle in Chengdu Chongqing Region, the New Western Land-sea Corridor in western China, and the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the fair focuses on the construction of a modern industrial system, accelerates the development of new quality productive forces, promotes the deep integration of advanced manufacturing and producer services, and expands high-level opening-up. It features three themed exhibition zones: Comprehensive Image, International & Regional Cooperation, and Modern Industry, each with several subdivided exhibition areas. The expected exhibition scale is 110,000 square meters. During the fair, there will be an opening ceremony and a major project signing ceremony, along with themed events focused on how producer services support the development of modern industries. The agenda also includes foreign investment promotions, international economic and trade activities, and a range of supporting events aimed at boosting consumption.
