Qijiang District Successfully Signs Lightweight Production Base Project at the 5th WCIFIT

On May 18, the 5th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) kicked off at the Chongqing International Expo Center. During the major-project signing ceremony of this WCIFIT, Qijiang District successfully signed a lightweight production base project with a total investment of approximately RMB2.5 billion (including RMB2 billion of fixed-asset investment).

It is reported that the project primarily produces automotive aluminum alloy components such as lower vehicle bodies, battery frames, bumpers, subframes, and threshold beams. Upon completion, the project is expected to produce 5 million sets of automotive and new energy vehicle parts annually. When fully operational, the project is projected to achieve an annual output value of RMB3 billion, generate RMB60 million in tax revenue, and create approximately 500 new jobs.

At this WCIFIT, the Qijiang Pavilion, located at Booth B01 in Hall N7 of the Chongqing International Expo Center, covers an area of 390 square meters. The pavilion's design theme, "Colorful Qijiang · Innovative City," features an overall structure resembling a continuously evolving pathway, culminating in a circular formation at the top with radiating light strips, symbolizing Qijiang's relentless upward progress and its acceleration of the "four wheels" driving industrial transformation, urban-rural integration, educational enhancement, and healthcare advancement. In terms of exhibits, the pavilion prominently showcases high-tech products such as the "Pioneer Satellite," offering visitors an immersive experience of Qijiang's comprehensive industrial cluster through diverse and interactive displays.

Key exhibits included the triple-junction gallium arsenide solar cell arrays from Chongqing Pioneer Satellite Technology Co., Ltd., the Magic Series displays from Chongqing LIKYLIN Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., copper-tin alloy powder from Chongqing Youyan Zhongye New Materials Co., Ltd., plant-based protein beverages from Sichuan Weiyi Beverage & Food Co., Ltd., "Golden Corner Old Sichuan Beef Jerky" from Chongqing Jinxing Co., Ltd., handmade hotpot broth from Chongqing Deyixin Industrial Co., Ltd., prepared dishes from Chongqing Qijiang Yihe Food Co., Ltd., and "Ganshui Fermented Tofu" from Chongqing Qifeng Agricultural Products Development Co., Ltd.
