Spotlight on WCIFIT | Three Major Projects Worth RMB13.6 Billion Signed in Jiangjin District

From May 23 to 26, the Sixth Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (hereinafter referred to as the "WCIFIT") is being held at the Chongqing International Expo Center and Yuelai International Convention Center. The various exhibits of mechanical manufacturing in the Jiangjin Exhibition Zone are full of the sense of technology and are favored by a large number of merchants and visitors. Taking advantage of the momentum of the "WCIFIT", Jiangjin District has successfully signed three major projects, attracting RMB13.6 billion in investment.

Well-designed exhibition to highlight Jiangjin's characteristics

The Jiangjin exhibition zone is located in Booth A05 at Hall N8 Modern Manufacturing Zone, with a total area of 437 square meters. It is divided into seven major areas: New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Chongqing Main Hub, Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park (Jiangjin area), Shuangfu Technology and Innovation City, Degan Consumer Goods Industrial City, Baisha Emerging Industrial City, and Cultural Tourism Exhibition Zone. The overall design principle is "simplicity, grandeur, environmental protection, and transparency", and modern digital display technologies such as sound, light, electricity, and screen are used for all-round three-dimensional display. The main entrance of the exhibition zone is designed with a locomotive as an extension, mainly showcasing the main achievements of Jiangjin in strengthening the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Chongqing Main Hub and constructing the Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park.

"We have carefully selected 36 enterprises with distinct Jiangjin regional features and development characteristics to participate in the fair with their characteristic products," an relevant official from Jiangjin District said. The exhibits cover high-precision and cutting-edge products such as rail transit, intelligent equipment machine tools, multifunctional robots and advanced materials; import and export products such as craft beer, Arctic Ocean beverages, hotpot broth, and smart agricultural machinery; as well as cultural and tourism products rich in selenium like Jiangjin jade, grain and oil, and prickly ash.

Special "Stunts" make products attract visitors

Chongqing Shuaibang Machinery Co., Ltd. has moved its high-precision CNC grinding machine automatic production line to the exhibition site. A mechanized arm has attracted many technology enthusiasts, and the machine tool can be simultaneously equipped with six-axis robots for online operation, realizing automated production units, saving labor, improving processing efficiency and grinding quality.

The dual-power rail milling and grinding vehicle has made its second appearance at the WCIFIT. Developed by the Tobor R&D team after more than ten years of research and development, this vehicle has broken foreign technological monopolies and solved the 17th technical problem among the 35 key "bottleneck" technologies listed by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is the world's first (set) large-scale maintenance intelligent equipment with dual clean energy power, suitable for rail maintenance operations of subways, urban railways, and main-line railways.

The Lanjiang multifunctional robot, which has been exported to more than 20 countries and regions in the international market, has also attracted many merchants to stop and learn about it. Lanjiang Technology focuses on the application of agricultural robots in field planting management, providing integrated software and hardware solutions for agricultural planting management. It deeply integrates information technology, intelligent equipment, and agricultural production processes, providing standardized planting management models for agricultural production and achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Can prickly ash be made into skincare products besides being used as a condiment? Yes, the skincare products of Chinese prickly ash brought by Rosee Biotechnology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. have attracted much attention. Chinese prickly ash has its own antibacterial function. Jiangjin jade, with its round and plump shape and delicate texture, is a kind of secondary river-polished seed material of crystalline-cryptocrystalline quartz discovered in Jiangjin District in recent years, which is rich in colors and has scaly skin patterns (Lee's Ring). Its Mohs hardness, relative density, refractive index and other indicators are excellent, making it of great appreciation value. It is the only jade in Chongqing, filling the gap that Chongqing has never had a jade production area.

In addition, other products such as the "Magic Bell Core Ball" (a vocal pet snack), fiber optic gyro inertial navigation system, basalt fiber, glass fiber cloth and other new materials, as well as "Meijian" plum wine, craft beer, Arctic Ocean beverages, and Qiaotou food products have also become "regulars" at the exhibition, fully showcasing Jiangjin's achievements in system design, development trend, innovation momentum, opening-up level, and integration, and receiving high attention from guests and media reporters.

Securing big deals: three major projects attract RMB13.6 billion

At the WCIFIT, Jiangjin has signed a total of three major projects: Chinese Academy of Sciences' Southwest Intelligent Manufacturing Base for Nano New Materials, Nuobikan Machine Vision Intelligent Equipment Production Headquarters, and the Dajing Agricultural light complementary Demonstration project, with a total investment of RMB 13.6 billion. The projects involve advanced materials, intelligent equipment and intelligent manufacturing, new energy and new energy storage.

Chinese Academy of Sciences' Southwest Intelligent Manufacturing Base for Nano New Materials covers an area of about 285 mu (19 hectares), and will build projects such as nano new material powder, high-end equipment manufacturing, nano aerospace protective coating, nano aerogel, nano catalyst, nano technology deep processing glass, nano photovoltaic coating, nano-metal grid, nano polarizer, drone intelligent manufacturing, an exchange center for academicians and experts of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a practical R&D center for nano-technology.

The Nuobikan Machine Vision Intelligent Equipment Production Headquarters project plans to invest RMB5.1 billion and be constructed in three phases. The first phase will build the Nuobikan robot vision intelligent equipment production headquarters, including the construction of a research and development center and a modern intelligent equipment production base.

The Dajing Agricultural light complementary Demonstration project plans to construct a new energy agricultural light complementary and photovoltaic power generation demonstration project with a single installed capacity of no more than 300MW and a total installed capacity of about 1GW. After completion, the annual power generation capacity will be 1 billion kWh.

The ability to attract many "new friends" to invest and start businesses in Jiangjin is not only due to the unique geographical advantages of Jiangjin, but also inseparable from the measures taken by the Jiangjin Committee and District Government to continuously strengthen the construction of hub functions, improve the level of openness, and optimize the business environment.

It is reported that Jiangjin District will build the Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park as a top priority in strengthening the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Chongqing Main Hub. As a pilot area for the "one river, two banks, and three sections coordination" of the Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park, the planned area of Jiangjin District is 17.4 square kilometers, consisting of two areas: Zhiping and Luohuang. It has open hubs and platforms such as Luohuang Port, Xiaonanya Railway Logistics Center, and Chongqing Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and has unique and highly recognizable advantages in water, rail, and highway multimodal transportation. There are 44 industrial parks with a scale of over RMB10 billion within a radius of 120 kilometers around it. At present, it has formed the prototype of a large corridor, large hub, large port, and large industry, and has established a pattern of "four-way development" (east, west, south, and north). To the east, it can effectively connect with the developed eastern coastal areas through the golden waterway; to the west, it can link partners of the "Belt and Road Initiative" via the China-Europe Railway Express; to the north, it can interact with Russia through the Chongqing-Manzhouli-Russia Railway Express; and to the south, it can radiate to ASEAN through the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

In the next step, Jiangjin District will focus on the goal of building the "Five Bases and One City", closely adhere to the mission of "accelerating the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Chongqing Main Hub and becoming a leading force in the high-quality development of the integrated western Chongqing region", deeply implement major national strategies, and strive to create a pilot zone for the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, demonstrating Jiangjin's role as a leading force in the construction of the national strategic hinterland in Chongqing. At the same time, adhering to the concept of "respecting, being close to, valuing, and caring for merchants", it will set a good example in international exchanges and cooperation and help Chongqing build a hub for inland opening-up.
