Bishan Signs Six Projects Worth Over RMB10 Billion at the WCIFIT

On May 23, at the 6th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT), Bishan District signed agreements for six major projects, including the Huate Power Greater China Methanol-Reformed Hydrogen Fuel Cell Stack R&D and Production Project, the Odes New Energy All-Domain Intelligent Transportation Equipment R&D and Production Project, and Japan-based AFC China Headquarters Production Project. The total investment of these projects exceeds RMB10 billion.

The first phase of the Huate Power Greater China Methanol-Reformed Hydrogen Fuel Cell Stack R&D and Production Project will build an innovation display center, a joint R&D center, a demonstration factory, and an R&D headquarters. It will also establish production lines for laser femtosecond 3D-printed bipolar plates, hydrogen fuel cell stacks, and power battery assemblies for new energy vehicles. The R&D headquarters will host the China-Europe Clean Energy R&D Center and the China-Europe Clean Energy Technology Transfer Center, with an annual production capacity of 25,000 kW hydrogen fuel cell stacks and 2.1 million laser femtosecond 3D-printed bipolar plates. The second phase will include the construction of a super factory and the introduction of the IFT Automotive Testing and Certification Center, with an annual output value of no less than RMB5 billion once operational.

The Odes New Energy All-Domain Intelligent Transportation Equipment R&D and Production Project will develop power systems for aquatic vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, lightweight multi-functional off-road vehicles, and snowmobiles, producing fuel-powered vehicles with engine displacements of 500CC–700CC. Existing products from the partner will be relocated to the Bishan base for production, while the base will also undertake full-series new energy product R&D, gradually moving into the manufacturing of new energy-related products.

The Japan-based AFC China Headquarters Production Project will establish a 190-mu production base in China, featuring raw material processing lines, health supplement, food and cosmetics production lines, and pharmaceutical manufacturing lines.

At this year's WCIFIT, Bishan presents a comprehensive showcase covering intelligent connected new energy vehicle clusters, electronic information, smart equipment, life-science technology, the digital economy, and advanced materials. On display are 76 emblematic enterprises and exhibits, including the Qingyuan Digital Human All-in-One Terminal, the CNNC Kunpeng BNCT System, the YPFun EasyTV platform, CHANGE's Skateboard Chassis, HI Future's Fully Flexible Split-Type Charging Pile, and Yuhai's Intelligent Patrol Vehicle.

Bishan District has, in recent years, seized the opportunities presented by major national strategies such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, and China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI). By advancing its "Ten-Point Action Plan," Bishan has brought the Sugon Advanced Data Center, the CAS Quantum Communication National Operation Center, and the GPU facility of the Advanced Computing Industry Innovation Center online. These flagship platforms now operate in synergy. The district also successfully hosted the China Western Animation Culture Festival, while Bishan High-Tech Zone saw fixed-asset investment rise 21.9% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the Digital Economy Innovation Platform for the "Eastern Data, Western Computing" project invested RMB302 million throughout the year. Additionally, Bishan District has secured Civil Aviation Administration of China approval for Bishan International Airport, while high-speed-rail construction proceeds on schedule. The district has implemented the "Hundred Groups, Thousand Enterprises" International Market Expansion Plan. "New trio" products - BYD power batteries and PCsemic semiconductors among them - are now exported worldwide, driving the district's total import-export value to RMB7.09 billion, up 33.7% year on year.
