Guang'an Makes a Splash at WCIFIT: Showcasing Image and Securing Major Deals

From May 22 to 25, the 7th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) is held in Chongqing. As the prefecture-level city in Sichuan closest to Chongqing's central urban area, Guang'an made a striking debut at this grand event. With an eye-catching exhibition design, "hardcore fan-attracting" specialty products, and enterprises "borrowing the stage to perform" to expand their markets, Guang'an reaped bountiful results.

Guang'an Pavillion at this WCIFIT

The Guang'an Pavilion stood out with its fresh and innovative approach at this year's WCIFIT. Among the numerous exhibition halls at the fair, the Guang'an Pavilion, featuring a white and silver-gray color scheme, immediately captured attention.

"This year's pavilion adopts a dynamic multimedia presentation format, prioritizing images and videos over text to create an 'animated' exhibition experience," explained Xin Dayong, Deputy Director of Guang'an Municipal Commerce Bureau. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, the pavilion achieved an innovative, panoramic interactive display for the first time.

The pavilion's design details were exceptionally thoughtful: the visitor route was modeled after the meandering flow of the Jialing River's Wusheng section, while the surrounding display panels artfully incorporated the architectural outline of Guang'an Institute of Technology's (tentative name) main building, complemented by adorable cartoon elements of Huaying Mountain's giant pandas "Linxi" and "Yijia." Moreover, the pavilion featured interactive zones, with the debut of Guang'an Consumption Map and Cultural Tourism Map enabling virtual tours of Guang'an, offering visitors and residents a brand-new guide to tourism and shopping. Over 100 types of "Guang'an Premium Products" were also showcased.

At this year's WCIFIT, Guang'an centered its theme around "accelerating the establishment of the Sichuan-Chongqing Cooperation Demonstration Zone and building the Northern Sub-Center of Chongqing Metropolitan Circle," highlighting the remarkable achievements of its "Regional Integration" primary strategy.

As China's first cross-provincial jointly built new area, the Sichuan-Chongqing Gaozhu New Area showcased over 100 innovative accomplishments, including breakthroughs such as the reform experience of "appropriate separation of economic zones and administrative divisions" and cross-provincial integrated tax collection and management.

In recent years, Guang'an has been committed to achieving integrated development with Chongqing's central urban area, with particularly notable progress in industrial collaboration. Sichuan Saite Refrigeration Co., Ltd., a supplier for automakers like Changan Automobile and Seres, brought its latest products to the exhibition. Yang Daocai, the company's Senior Chief Engineer, stated that participating in WCIFIT aimed to explore new markets with their innovative offerings.

Sichuan Yulin Longxu Tea Industry Co., Ltd., based in Linshui County, Guang'an, has attended WCIFIT for multiple consecutive years. Executive Manager He Sheng shared that their goal was to secure partnerships and expand sales channels. On May 23, a Chongqing-based e-commerce company proactively approached them for discussions, resulting in a preliminary cooperation agreement. "We will finalize the specifics immediately after the exhibition," He added.
