Investment Progress on Key Projects for the "Twin-Circle" Initiative Proceeds Smoothly, Exceeding RMB290 Billion from January to July

On September 2, it was learned from the Chongqing Development and Reform Commission that from January to July, 320 key projects under the Sichuan-Chongqing joint initiative for the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle had completed an investment of RMB294.516 billion, achieving an investment completion rate of 66.72%, which is 8.39 percentage points ahead of the scheduled timeline. 

Among these, modern infrastructure projects completed an investment of RMB172.053 billion, with an investment completion rate of 60.40%. Notably, the Changshui Airport Tunnel, a critical and challenging control project along the Chongqing-Kunming High-Speed Railway, has been successfully connected; the main construction of the Wuxi-Kaizhou Expressway is largely finished; and the first phase of the Minjiang River (from Longxikou Hub to Yibin Hejiangmen) waterway improvement project has been completed. 

Modern industrial, technological innovation, and ecological barrier projects completed an investment of RMB111.589 billion, reaching an investment completion rate of 79.29%. Key milestones include the main structure of Sections ABC of BOE's 8.6th-Generation AMOLED Production Line Project in Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone having been topped out; the main structure of Huafon Group's integrated functional new materials production chain project with an annual output of 1.38 million tons now completed; the first phase of the Rail Transit Intelligent Equipment and Construction Materials R&D and Manufacturing Project in Chengdu Eastern New Area having been finished and put into operation; and the Fluorite Intelligent Manufacturing Base in Dadukou District having been completed and operational. 

Cultural tourism, opening-up, and public service projects completed an investment of RMB10.874 billion, attaining an investment completion rate of 68.65%. Significant progress includes the main structure of Chongqing Hospital of Union Hospital Tongji Medical College Huazhong University of Science and Technology having passed final inspection and acceptance; the Long March National Cultural Park (Sichuan-Chongqing Section) being largely completed; and the main structure of Chongqing Hospital of Jiangsu Province Hospital Construction Project (National Regional Medical Center) having been finished.
