Chongqing Kicks Off Collection of Proposals for Second Batch of Future Industry Flagship Offerings
On May 27, the Municipal Economic and Information Commission announced that Chongqing is now seeking the second batch of future industry flagship products citywide. This initiative aims to expand the "Made in Chongqing" future industry product matrix and cultivate more demonstration products with national influence.
The solicitation primarily targets products that represent the future direction of industrial development, have already achieved industrialization, and feature cutting-edge technological breakthroughs with strong application prospects. The solicitation aligns with the "6+3" industrial framework outlined in the Chongqing Future Industry Cultivation Action Plan, covering key areas such as future manufacturing, future information, future materials, future energy, future space, and future health.
Eligible enterprises must be locally operating entities in Chongqing with no record of credit violations or major safety or environmental incidents. Products must have clear IP ownership, adhere to national industrial policies and industry standards, and possess the necessary production licenses or certifications.
The Commission stated that Chongqing's future industries have now transitioned from isolated breakthroughs to cluster-based development. The successful solicitation and implementation of the first batch of future industry flagship products, in particular, have served as a strong validation of Chongqing's underlying industrial capabilities, innovation ecosystem, and market readiness for future industries.
In July of last year, Chongqing announced the first batch of future industry flagship products, with a total of 30 products selected, covering fields such as artificial intelligence, advanced new materials, bio-manufacturing, and aerospace information. All of these products have now achieved industrialization, demonstrating both cutting-edge technological breakthroughs and broad market prospects.
In the field of AI, for example, products such as "Intelligent Tolerance Design Software for New Energy Battery Processes" from Chongqing Chengzhipeng Technology, "Sirius Robot" from Hengzhi Future and "4K Video Conferencing System" from VISIONVERA have all achieved breakthroughs in key technologies integrating intelligent algorithms and equipment. These products have been deployed at scale across multiple scenarios, including industrial and security applications.
In the field of low-altitude economy, aircraft products such as "TF500 Heavy-Lift Unmanned Helicopter" from Chongqing Air Camel and "Micro/Nano Reconnaissance Unmanned Helicopter" from Chongqing Ideal Tech have been widely used in application scenarios including plateau supply delivery and emergency rescue.
The Commission also noted that the second solicitation aims to further consolidate Chongqing's "product-enterprise-industry chain-cluster" cultivation model for future industries, while pushing more frontier technologies out of the lab and into the market.
