The 6th WCIFIT | Global "Hit Products, Premium Goods & Quality Items" Gather to Create an All-round "Consumer Carnival"

To implement the Ministry of Commerce's "Year of Consumption Promotion" initiative and amplify WCIFIT's role as a platform for boosting consumption and fostering connections, the "WCIFIT Premium Selection" consumption promotion event was held concurrently with the 6th WCIFIT from May 23 to 26. Centered around the keywords "diversity and multi-scenario experiences," the event highlighted its exhibition features of "great sights, fun, and shopping," enhancing public engagement and encouraging attendees to purchase, experience, and promote products on-site.

Diversity

Aligning with global consumption trends - a nationwide "Shop-and-Buy" mode kicks off

The "WCIFIT Premium Selection" event brought together over 300 merchants, curating more than 500 hit products. It attracted over 50,000 participants, driving nearly RMB10 million in consumption and igniting sustained consumer enthusiasm - hinting at the surging wave of future consumption trends. The event showcased an even more diverse selection of premium products, including:

The playful Israeli national brand Zipit's zipper monster bags, the celebrity-beloved Mogador Hair Oil, the Afghan Kilim handwoven wool carpets, the "Twelve Flower Goddess Brooch Series" crafted with intangible cultural heritage techniques (Fuling knotting art), a silver award winner at the 4th "Chongqing Gifts" Tourism Commodities competition, and the gold award-winning "Chunxiaosi", a distinctive Chongqing diplomatic gift from the same competition ... Every item was meticulously selected, each a bestseller, with on-site exhibition discounts as low as 45% off.

The "WCIFIT Premium Selection" also drew enthusiastic participation from major automotive brands. Popular new energy models, including the Denza D9 and N7, Xpeng G6, and Arcfox Alpha T5, offered exclusive on-site discounts, with price reductions of up to RMB25,000. This not only stimulated a "spring surge" in consumer interest but also highlighted growing demand for green and smart mobility, tapping into new consumption growth points beyond daily purchases of premium goods and quality items.

Beyond providing citizens with opportunities to "get up close" to global premium goods, the event featured equally refined domestic exhibits. Regional specialties debuted at WCIFIT, allowing attendees to savor Jiangjin's "Oriental Plum Wine" (Meijian) and purchase Chongqing-themed goods like spicy beef jerky, Wuxi Eagle Tea, and Yongchuan Xiuya. With "dining, entertainment, and shopping" all in one place, visitors could seamlessly switch to "shop-and-buy mode" while exploring the exhibition.

Multi-scenario experience

Reaching upgraded consumption demands and igniting citywide shopping enthusiasm

To seamlessly integrate exhibition visits with consumption experiences, the "WCIFIT Premium Selection" event innovatively launched the highly interactive "Treasure Hunt at the Fair" activity. Structured around a "garden party + marketplace" concept, it offered immersive and entertaining shopping scenarios through diverse formats like stamp collection check-ins, interactive games, and on-site lucky draws. This approach enabled exhibiting brands and products to reach wider audiences and unlock greater transaction potential.

Beyond the venue, the event further expanded consumption scenarios by partnering with major commercial districts in downtown Chongqing for the "WCIFIT Benefits the Entire City" promotional campaign. Bringing exclusive fair discounts directly to consumers, it amplified the role of exhibition-driven economy in stimulating urban consumption. Even amid bustling city life, people could experience the shopping fervor of WCIFIT firsthand, making the platform's value more accessible while fostering a dynamic consumption-boosting ecosystem.

From global selections and Bashu specialties to intangible-cultural-heritage crafts and smart mobility solutions, the "WCIFIT Premium Selection" activity not only helped exhibitors pinpoint precise alignment between the fair and market needs but also allowed residents and visitors to indulge in joyful, uninhibited shopping sprees.
