The 6th WCIFIT| Wulong Showcases Over 100 Achievements and Exhibits Across 17 Categories
On May 23, the 6th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) commenced at the Chongqing International Expo Center and the Yuelai International Convention Center. As one of China's few regions to simultaneously hold seven prestigious designations, Wulong District debuted at the fair with over 100 exhibits spanning 17 categories, guided by its exhibition philosophy of "prioritizing internationalization while deepening integrated industrial-tourism development" and a revamped pavilion layout. Through multi-dimensional presentations, Wulong highlighted its developmental strengths, investment environment, key enterprises, and distinctive products, fully embodying the unique allure of "Timeless Wonderland, Transcendent Wulong."
At the Wulong Pavilion, the open and multi-tiered spatial design drew crowds of visitors and business delegates who lingered to inquire about products, make purchases, and take commemorative photos. As WCIFIT serves as a high-caliber international platform for industrial collaboration, Wulong meticulously curated its exhibits to demonstrate the symbiotic growth of industry and tourism, showcasing its capacity for cutting-edge innovation, premium quality, cultural richness, and immersive experiences.
Designated as one of Chongqing's first pilot zones for the low-altitude economy, Wulong unveiled several flagship products at the fair. The EHang Intelligent Manufacturing Base and Application Management Project exhibited its star attractions - the 216 autonomous aerial vehicle, VT11, and VT20 reconnaissance drones - which drew swarms of visitors for photos and inquiries, emerging as the pavilion's most sought-after highlights. Additionally, the first COLT fixed-wing aircraft manufactured by Chongqing Aode Aviation is slated for rollout in Wulong on October 1.
The pavilion also featured industrial products such as Huanyue Electric's smart range extenders for electric vehicles and Tangyang Machinery's commercial vehicle flatbeds, underscoring Wulong's high-quality industrial development and the vast potential of industry-tourism integration.
As perennial highlights of Wulong District's exhibition portfolio, the region's specialty agricultural products continue to enjoy overwhelming popularity among visitors. Premium offerings such as high-mountain organic tea, pine-patterned preserved eggs, preserved meats, sweet potato noodles, sweet bamboo shoots, and dried tofu - alongside batik cultural products embodying Wulong's unique heritage - not only showcase the district's abundant agricultural resources and profound cultural legacy but also serve as pivotal supports for tourism development. Through tourism channels, these products gain global exposure, maximizing their industrial value.
During this year's WCIFIT, Wulong District meticulously coordinated participation from over 17 enterprises, presenting more than 100 premium "Wulong-made" items across 17 categories. Notably, the investment cooperation segment - a traditional centerpiece of the fair - yielded significant results. The Huaneng Wulong Fenglai Photovoltaic Power Generation Project was formally signed at the event. With a total investment of approximately RMB2 billion, the project is located in Fenglai Town, Wulong District, Chongqing, and will feature an installed capacity of 500 megawatts. Upon completion and full operation, it is projected to generate 500 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, achieving over RMB210 million in yearly output value and contributing more than RMB27.3 million in annual tax revenue. This initiative will provide robust support for Wulong's comprehensive green transition and high-quality socio-economic development.
