The 7th WCIFIT | Discover Chongqing's New Energy Vehicle Models and Technologies at WCIFIT

 

On May 22, the 7th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (hereinafter referred to as "WCIFIT") is about to kick off in Chongqing. On May 21, reporters learned from Liangjiang New Area that a number of car manufacturers and upstream and downstream enterprises in Chongqing will gather to showcase several groundbreaking new technologies and achievements.

For example, the AITO M8 will make its debut at the 7th WCIFIT. This mid-to-large-sized extended-range intelligent luxury SUV, jointly developed by Seres Group and Huawei, is manufactured at the Seres Super Factory in Liangjiang New Area. Since its launch on April 16, it has received over 70,000 firm orders, with a price range of RMB350,000 to RMB450,000.

It is reported that the AITO M8 is equipped with Huawei's intelligent system and HarmonyOS Cabin 4.0, achieving industry-leading levels in intelligence, safety performance, spatial design, and comfort experience.

During the exhibition, Changan Automobile's "Golden Shield" all-solid-state battery will also meet the audience. This product boasts an energy density of 400Wh/kg, a range exceeding 1,500 kilometers, and a 70% improvement in safety. According to sources, the Golden Shield all-solid-state battery is planned to debut in functional prototype vehicles by the end of 2025 and enter mass production gradually in 2027.

The emergence of the Golden Shield all-solid-state battery not only injects new momentum into the future development of the new energy vehicle industry but also enables Changan Automobile to explore land, sea, and air mobility solutions. Reportedly, Changan Automobile plans to complete test flights of flying cars by year-end and achieve production of humanoid robots by 2028.

In addition, Talent New Energy will also showcase two disruptive innovative technological achievements and products at the WCIFIT.

One product is a 143Ah diaphragm-free semi-solid-state battery, which is the world's first diaphragm-free battery and the first breakthrough in diaphragm-free solid-state battery technology in the industry. It is planned to start the vehicle testing journey in 2026.

The other one is a 120Ah all-solid-state battery, which is the world's first and currently the only automotive-grade ultra-high energy density body shaped all-solid-state lithium metal battery. Its energy density is as high as 720Wh/kg, breaking the industry record.

For new energy vehicles, the motor is like the "heart", and the stator and rotor assembly is the core module of the motor, which directly affects the health of the "heart" of the new energy vehicle.

The factory of Xinzhi Group in Chongqing (hereinafter referred to as "Xinzhi Chongqing"), which participated in this exhibition, is a company specializing in new energy vehicle stator and rotor assemblies. It will exhibit four products at the WCIFIT, namely flat wire stator assemblies, round wire stator assemblies, permanent magnet synchronous rotor assemblies, and asynchronous cast aluminum rotor assemblies.

High-Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Rotor Assembly for New Energy Vehicle Drive Motors

Taking the permanent magnet synchronous rotor assembly as an example, the elimination of binding materials between the magnets and iron core reduces raw material costs and effectively decreases equipment investment costs.

At present, Xinzhi Chongqing is producing 2,000 sets of stator-rotor assemblies daily, providing a continuous supply of "heart" for Chongqing's new energy vehicles.
