The head of Liangjiang New Area Investment Promotion Group stated that these projects span industries including intelligent connected new energy vehicles, electronic information, biomedicine, and high-end equipment manufacturing, with many having already taken root and flourished in Liangjiang New Area, significantly contributing to the high-quality development of the local industrial sector.
The Ganfeng New Lithium Battery Technology Industrial Park, with a total investment exceeding RMB5 billion, was substantially completed in September last year. The project, which commenced construction in July 2022, comprises three key components: a solid-state battery technology research institute, a solid-state battery production base, and a battery Pack system.
The battery equipment workshop has commenced trial operations and has already delivered over 1,000 solid-state battery units. It is projected that the industrial park's total battery production capacity will reach 6-7 GWh this year, injecting new vitality into the high-quality development of Chongqing's new energy vehicle sector.
Currently, Chongqing Ganfeng Power Technology Co., Ltd. has established partnerships with automakers such as Seres and Dongfeng Motor, with accelerated deliveries of various power batteries for both passenger and commercial vehicles underway.
Meanwhile, in Longsheng New City, the Magna Seating (China) R&D Center, with an investment of RMB230 million, has officially commenced operations. As the only independent legal entity seating R&D center in China, it provides cost-effective complete seating solutions for domestic and international automakers, global high-speed rail seating systems, and child safety seats.
According to reports, the center will consolidate R&D resources from Magna's Shanghai Technical Center and Hongli Zhixin Technical Center. Through measures such as recruiting top domestic and international talent, procuring advanced equipment, and establishing product development systems, it will achieve full R&D and design capabilities for complete seats, frames, and core components for automotive, high-speed rail, and child safety seats.
Moving forward, Liangjiang New Area will continue leveraging international exhibitions like the WCIFIT to focus on industrial clusters with strong foundations and high growth potential. By concentrating resources in platforms, capital, and services, the area will actively attract major investments and high-quality projects, providing crucial support for the new area's high-quality development.
