Sichuan-Chongqing Jointly Constructed Key Projects See Investment Exceed CNY 227 Billion in First Five Months, with Full-Line Track Laying Commencing on the Chengdu-Chongqing Central High-Speed Railway

On June 23, the reporter learned from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission that from January to May this year, the 350 key projects jointly built by Sichuan and Chongqing under the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle completed an investment of CNY 227.63 billion, surpassing the scheduled progress by 3.9 percentage points.

Projects in sci-tech innovation and modern industries completed an investment of CNY 104.71 billion. The main structure has been topped out at the Chongqing National Key Laboratory of Precision Displacement Measurement. Meanwhile, the core breeding area of the National (Rongchang) Regional Pig Breeding Innovation Base Construction Project has also reached full structural completion; and the main structure of the exhibition building of the ClonOrgan Medical Pig Industrial Park in Zizhong County has been completed. Further, the first batch of standard factory buildings in the southern section of Phase II of Gaozhu New Area Industrial Park, the main structure of the national battery testing and verification center of the Bishan Power Battery Research Institute project, and the factory buildings of the New Display Industrial Park project in Mianyang Industrial Park have all been topped out. Additionally, Phase II of the Ruihang (Chongqing) Aero Engine Maintenance Base project has broken ground; the main structure of Hongya County's advanced manufacturing (aerospace) industrial cluster has completed; the production plant at the Tengden UAV assembly base in Dazhou General Aviation Industrial Park has finished; the main structure of Phase I the transformation and upgrading of CCCC Qiezixi Port (Yangtze Yinyue Port) in Dadukou has topped out; and the comprehensive digital-intelligent upgrading and transformation project for the Langzhong Ancient City is being accelerated.

Projects in modern infrastructure and opening-up completed an investment of CNY 114.08 billion. Full-line track laying works have been initiated for the entire Chengdu-Chongqing Central High-Speed Railway; the section from the entrance of Xiangyang No. 2 Tunnel to No. 1 cross heading of the Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway has successfully holed through; the in-station process pipeline welding at the Tongliang Compressor Station of the Chongqing section of the Second Sichuan-East Gas Transmission Pipeline has completed; the installation of the tail water pressure steel pipes for all four units of the Yunyang Jianquan Pumped Storage Power Station has fully completed; and the Maoxian bid section of the Aba-Chengdu East 1,000 kV UHV project has entered the final sprint stage. Further, the second batch of the works for Phase II of the Yongchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone has been fully put into use, and the construction of the Chengdu South Collection and Distribution Center project for the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor is being accelerated.

Projects in ecological and environmental protection and public services completed an investment of CNY 8.84 billion. The rainwater and sewage diversion pipeline network in the core area of the urban sewage pipeline construction and renovation project in the central urban area of Chongqing has fully connected; the main works of the water conservation and rocky desertification comprehensive management project in the Chishui River basin in Xingwen County, Yibin City has completed; and the construction of national reserve forests in places such as Chongqing, Chengdu, and Dazhou continues to expand in scale and improve in quality. The undergraduate campus of Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences of the Western Vocational Education Base has topped out; the training building of the Deyang Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Education Integration Project is about to be topped out; the overall progress of the relocation project of the Liangjiang New Area Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital has reached 90%; and the Shandong Provincial Hospital Luzhou Hospital is about to start trial operation.
