Spotlight on WCIFIT | Chongqing Signs 66 Major Projects at the 4th WCIFIT with Total Investment Reaching RMB222.85 Billion

On July 22, the event took place at Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center, where 66 major projects were signed in a single ceremony within the municipality, representing a total contracted investment of RMB222.85 billion. Every district and county in Chongqing secured signed projects, achieving comprehensive coverage and balanced development.
The signed projects demonstrated exceptional quality, with an average investment of RMB3.4 billion per project. Among them were 9 projects valued at over RMB10 billion, 6 projects exceeding RMB5 billion, and 7 projects above RMB3 billion. These projects spanned key industrial sectors including intelligent connected new energy vehicles, electronic information, biomedicine, new materials, energy conservation and environmental protection, consumer goods, and modern finance.
The investors participating in the signing ceremony possessed substantial financial strength and industry influence. The group included 11 central state-owned enterprises (central SOEs) such as State Power Investment Corporation and CHN Energy; 7 Fortune Global 500 companies and 4 Fortune China 500 enterprises, represented by industry leaders like Dongfeng Motor, Geely Auto, Lalamove, Tuopu Group, Hithium Energy Storage, Conch Cement, Transfar Logistics, Mckintey Group, and Beijing Xinfadi; alongside 7 foreign-funded enterprises including Singapore's Lion Partners Capital, AVA Group, and Elion International.
In addition to the 66 municipal projects, Sichuan Province organized the signing of 5 major projects at WCIFIT, with a total contracted investment of RMB4.18 billion.
In recent years, the WCIFIT has evolved into an open platform driving regional collaboration and foreign trade. Its brand keeps gaining prominence, and more premium projects from Chongqing and beyond are now reaching agreement and being signed and delivered at the event. Moving forward, the Chongqing Investment Promotion Bureau will collaborate with relevant municipal departments, districts, counties, and development zones to enhance project coordination for WCIFIT-signed agreements, continuously optimize services, and accelerate project implementation, construction commencement, and operational efficiency.
