he 7th WCIFIT Opens; CMCAB's Silver Economy Expo Debuts

On May 22, the 7th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) kicked off in Chongqing. This year's WCIFIT, themed "New Western China, New Manufacturing, New Services", comprises exhibition zones including Comprehensive Showcase, International and Regional Cooperation, and Modern Industries. It has drawn 972 enterprises from 39 countries and regions as well as delegations from over 20 domestic provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and cities to sign up.

Xu Jian, Vice Mayor of the Chongqing Municipal Government, and Kan Jilin, Party Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, successively visited the Silver Economy Theme Exhibition hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau (CMCAB). They were briefed on elderly-friendly transformation, institutional elderly care, smart elderly care, and elderly care finance, among other areas; learned about the participating elderly care enterprises; encouraged these enterprises to expand their presence in Chongqing's elderly care industry; and urged efforts to advance the high-quality development of elderly care services in Chongqing.

For this exhibition, the CMCAB brought together 26 enterprises and public institutions to develop a Silver Economy Theme Exhibition with the theme "Silver New Trend, Chongqing Joyful Aging". It features five key thematic sections: elderly-friendly renovation demo rooms, institutional elderly care, smart elderly care, elderly care finance, and senior products and supplies. Among these, the elderly-friendly renovation demo room focuses on clarifying to the public Chongqing's "Huanxin" subsidy policy for elderly-friendly renovations and the product catalog covered by the city's "Huanxin" subsidy for home-based elderly-friendly renovations; The smart elderly care section features the "Chongqing Joyful Aging" platform, emotional companion robots, smart canes, and intelligent wheelchairs; The elderly care finance section features professional, inclusive, and accessible elderly care financial services; The senior products and supplies section features nursing beds, electric wheelchairs, millimeter-wave fall detectors, heart rate monitors, and massage devices.
