Hechuan Signed Green Energy Development Project at WCIFIT with a Total Investment of RMB10.4 Billion

The 5th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) opened in Chongqing on May 18. At the Signing of Central SOEs - Chongqing Cooperation and Key Projects, Hechuan District and SPIC Chongqing Company signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the Hechuan District Green Energy Development Project, with a total investment of RMB10.4 billion.

This cooperative project mainly includes five sub-projects: the Hechuan Shuanghuai Power Plant Phase III, new-type energy storage, an integrated smart zero-carbon power plant covering the whole area, "three-network integration" to support rural revitalization, and the Shuanghuai Circular Economy Industrial Park. The two sides will leverage their respective advantages to strengthen coordination and cooperation, jointly promote the transformation and upgrading of Hechuan's energy industry and low-carbon, high-quality development, build Hechuan into a comprehensive energy base, and help achieve the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.

It is reported that at this session of the Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade, 67 enterprises from Hechuan District brought more than 300 exhibits, including new energy vehicle parts and hotpot ingredients, fully showcasing Hechuan's industrial development achievements, with emphasis on the two leading industries of intelligent connected new energy vehicle parts and hot pot ingredients.

According to the introduction, in terms of intelligent connected new energy vehicle parts, Hechuan District has identified a "5+1" industrial system consisting of electric drive, electric braking, vehicle-road connectivity, lightweight materials, automotive interior and exterior parts, plus automotive aftermarket services. At present, it has planned the spatial layout of the intelligent connected new energy vehicle parts industrial park as "one core-center, two sub-centers" - with the Tianding cluster of Hechuan Industrial Park as the main body, and Nanxi cluster and Caojie cluster as subsidiaries - to build the Hechuan Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Parts Industrial Park. By 2027, the number of above-designated-size automotive parts enterprises in Hechuan District will reach 150, and the output value is expected to reach RMB50 billion.

In terms of hotpot ingredients, since the Chongqing Hotpot Ingredients Industrial Park was established in 2021, Hechuan District has focused on building a highland of China's hotpot ingredients industry, with emphasis on aquatic processed products, seasonings, meat products, and prepared food processing, gathering 101 processing enterprises with an annual output value of RMB5 billion.

"This year, we are focusing on the industrial directions of meat products, aquatic processed products, and compound seasonings, and advancing the construction of three processing industry clusters: Wuzun, Nanxi, and Longshi. In the first quarter, the total output value of hotpot ingredients processing reached RMB1.83 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23.3%," said an official of the Hechuan exhibition zone. At present, Hechuan has launched the promotion of the construction of a comprehensive hotpot ingredients exhibition center, a hotpot ingredients industry research institute, and a hotpot ingredients innovation service center, which will accelerate the establishment of a comprehensive service system for the hotpot ingredients industry.
