The 7th WCIFIT Opens: Yuzhong District Showcases 10+ Enterprises with RMB700 Million in Signed Agreements

On May 22, the 7^th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) opened at Chongqing International Expo Center. The Yuzhong District exhibition area, located at Booth A06 in the Modern Industries Exhibition Zone of Hall N8, featured displays from over 10 representative enterprises highlighting their distinctive offerings. During the WCIFIT Opening Ceremony & Major Project Signing Ceremony, Yuzhong District was involved in the centralized signing of 4 projects, including the Brightronic Project in Chongqing, with a total contracted value of RMB700 million.

During this WCIFIT, the Yuzhong District booth showcased numerous highlights, attracting significant attention from a large audience. Among them, Chongqing Public Platform Facility Investment Development (Group) Co., Ltd. primarily displayed the full-chain management system for bus stop platforms. Chongqing Shifu Culture Communication Co., Ltd. mainly exhibited intangible cultural heritage tourism products such as Shu embroidery, leaf vein painting, cloisonné enamel, paper-cutting, and pyrography. Six enterprises in the commerce and trade sector - Chongqing KFC Co., Ltd., Chongqing Yuzhong Commercial Development Group Co., Ltd., China Salt Southwest Salt Industry Co., Ltd., Otton Group, Chongqing RICH Commercial and Trading Co., Ltd., and the Chengdu-Chongqing Foreign-Related Chamber of Commerce Alliance - primarily showcased imported food, daily necessities, alcoholic beverages, and time-honored branded products. VisionVera Information Technology Co., Ltd. mainly presented software and hardware technology products related to V2V Communication integration. Chongqing YuanNao Digital Technology Co., Ltd. primarily displayed technological medical products such as TCM four-diagnostic instruments and TCM meridian and acupoint detection devices.

At the fair, Chongqing Qianye Glasses (Group) Co., Ltd. from Yuzhong District highlighted its cross-border shopping "instant tax refund upon purchase" service. It is reported that Qianye Glasses' flagship store in Jiefangbei was designated at the end of 2024 as a Tax Refund for Tourists Leaving the Country pilot store in Chongqing, offering "instant tax refund upon purchase" services to eligible overseas visitors. According to relevant policies, after making purchases at the store, overseas tourists only need to complete the Tax Refund Application Form for Tourists Leaving the Country, sign the Service Informed Consent Agreement, and provide credit card pre-authorization on-site to immediately receive their tax refund. The store has also set up shopping guidance and tax refund process instructions to further enhance the service experience.

Currently, Chongqing has three pilot stores offering the "instant tax refund upon purchase" service under the Tax Refund for Tourists Leaving the Country program, with Qianye Glasses being one of them. At the exhibition, the company highlighted the policy's key features through visual displays and arranged dedicated staff to provide "one-on-one" explanations, helping attendees better understand the process. In addition to cross-border services, Qianye Glasses showcased products such as smart glasses, optical glasses, sunglasses, and progressive lenses, covering both functional and everyday wear scenarios. The company also set up on-site interactive experiences, allowing visitors to gain a hands-on understanding of the products' features and fitting methods.

The WCIFIT also hosted the inauguration ceremony of the Alliance of Western China Associations of Enterprises with Foreign Investment. On the morning of May 23, alliance members conducted an investment environment inspection tour in Yuzhong District, visiting sites including Chongqing Raffles, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor - International Consumption Center, the Chengdu-Chongqing Foreign-Related Chamber of Commerce Alliance, and Ernst & Young's Chongqing Branch. Furthermore, Yuzhong District will host several sub-events of the "Invest in China" Promotion Event on Greater Openness-Up In the Service Sector.
