The 6th WCIFIT | Transforming Advantages into Tangible Projects: Pengshui Signs 19 Investment Agreements

On May 23, the 6th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) opened at the Chongqing International Expo Center. Pengshui County seized this opportunity to host a dedicated investment promotion event featuring concentrated project signings, participated in municipal-level key project signings, and organized corporate field investigations - all activities that achieved remarkable results and garnered significant attention from businesses and citizens alike.

Capitalizing on the WCIFIT platform, Pengshui successfully signed 19 investment projects totaling approximately RMB12.3 billion, including one municipal-level key project valued at RMB1.05 billion.

These agreements span multiple strategic sectors including clean energy, social welfare infrastructure, modern tourism, cultural-tourism integration, and medicinal herb cultivation/processing. Notably, six clean energy projects (wind, solar, and hydroelectric) involving over RMB6 billion in investment will substantially advance Pengshui's clean energy infrastructure development while providing "green" momentum for economic recovery.

Collaborative agreements were reached with multiple central SOEs including China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation, CNNP Rich Energy Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Zheneng Electric Power Co., Ltd., and Beijing Aerospace Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., as well as Fortune 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises. These successful signings will not only facilitate industrial chain supplementation, extension, and strengthening for Pengshui's pillar industries but also accelerate county-wide industrial transformation and upgrading, thereby injecting fresh vitality into Pengshui's high-quality socioeconomic development.

The Pengshui booth is one of the most distinctive exhibition areas at the WCIFIT. Located at Booth A04 in Hall N8, it features the theme "Miao Culture Capital · Serene Pengshui" and highlights the three major characteristics of "ethnicity, ecology, and culture." Combining three functional sections - the urban landscape display area, the characteristic industrial experience area, and the investment project negotiation area - the booth emphasizes Pengshui's industrial characteristics of "four industries and one urbanization," namely ecological agriculture, ecological industry, ecological tourism, modern service industry, and new urbanization. It showcases Pengshui's high-quality cultural and tourism premium goods, agricultural and specialty products, and healthy food, serving three major functions: attracting projects, selling products, and drawing tourists.

Inside the exhibition hall, focusing on displaying the "Nine Miao Elements" (Miao cuisine, Hmong Embroidery, Miao arts, Miao songs, Miao dances, Miao medicine, Miao herbs, Miao villages, and Miao towns) and the "Eight As" (a jar of water, a bag of powder, a box of cookies, a can of beverage, a table of dishes, a cup of tea, a bottle of honey, and a barrel of oil), a check-in installation in the shape of a nine-grid Rubik's cube light box has been set up. With 19 standard booths, over 10 characteristic enterprises have participated in the fair in groups, showcasing Pengshui Taiji Group's Fountain of Youth, wild hawthorn fruit beverages, crystal sweet potato noodles, honey, rolled crispy cakes, Hmong Embroidery, Miao medicine, and other products.

New Western China, New Manufacturing, New Services! The Pengshui exhibition area actively promotes and publicizes participating enterprises and their products, driving the transformation of cooperation intentions into investment actions and converting the results of exhibition participation into development achievements.
