The 6th WCIFIT: Eight Major Projects, Ten Thematic Zones - Bishan Invites You to "Meet Bishan's 'Intelligent Manufacturing'"

From 23 to 26 May, the 6th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (hereinafter referred to as “WCIFIT”) is grandly being held in Chongqing. Under the theme "New Western China, New Manufacturing, New Services," this year's fair comprises two main components: themed events and exhibition displays. As a pivotal node city in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, Bishan District showcases eight flagship projects across ten thematic pavilions at the fair, spotlighting its outstanding achievements and broad prospects in industrial development and scientific-technological innovation.

Bishan's booth at this year's WCIFIT is located at Booth A02 in Hall N8, the Modern Manufacturing Zone, occupying a prime 621 square meters. The exhibition space is designed as a scaled replica of the China-Singapore Life Science and Technology City's "one core and four zones" master plan, seamlessly integrating landmark elements of both Bishan and Singapore to create an immersive environment that fuses artistic expression, technological sophistication, and local culture.

It is learned that the China-Singapore Life Science and Technology City is a tangible, flagship initiative under the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI) - the two countries' third Government-to-Government Programme. Positioned as a hub for life-science innovation, international medical collaboration, modern biomanufacturing, and smart convalescent care, the city is structured as "one core and four zones": a central kick-start area complemented by the Life-Science Innovation Zone, Smart Convalescent Care Zone, Digital Healthcare Demonstration Zone, and Biomedicine Industry Zone. To date, it has already attracted high-calibre projects such as the BNCT Nuclear Medicine & Healthcare Industry Demonstration Project, the Sino Singapore Cooperation (Bishan) Cancer Treatment Research Center, the Chongqing Yuhu Hotel, and Huadao Biopharma's CAR-T Cell Therapy Manufacturing Base.

In addition, Bishan presents a comprehensive showcase covering intelligent connected new energy vehicle clusters, electronic information, smart equipment, life-science technology, the digital economy, and advanced materials. On display are 76 emblematic enterprises and exhibits, including the Qingyuan Digital Human All-in-One Terminal, the CNNC Kunpeng BNCT System, the YPFun EasyTV platform, CHANGE's Skateboard Chassis, HI Future's Fully Flexible Split-Type Charging Pile, and Yuhai's Intelligent Patrol Vehicle.

According to a senior official from Bishan District, the district has, in recent years, seized the opportunities presented by major national strategies such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, and China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI). By advancing its "Ten-Point Action Plan," Bishan has brought the Sugon Advanced Data Center, the CAS Quantum Communication National Operation Center, and the GPU facility of the Advanced Computing Industry Innovation Center online. These flagship platforms now operate in synergy. The district also successfully hosted the China Western Animation Culture Festival, while Bishan High-Tech Zone saw fixed-asset investment rise 21.9% year-on-year.  Meanwhile, the Digital Economy Innovation Platform for the "Eastern Data, Western Computing" project invested RMB 302 million throughout the year.

In the realms of foreign investment and trade, Bishan District has secured Civil Aviation Administration of China approval for Bishan International Airport, while high-speed-rail construction proceeds on schedule. "New trio" products - BYD power batteries and PCsemic semiconductors among them - are now exported worldwide, driving the district's total import-export value to RMB7.09 billion, up 33.7% year on year.

It is worth highlighting that, during the major-project signing ceremony at this year's WCIFIT, Bishan District sealed six agreements, including Huate Power Greater China Methanol-reformed Hydrogen Fuel Cell Stack R&D and Production Project, Odes New Energy All-Domain Intelligent Transportation Equipment R&D and Production Project, and Japan-based AFC China Headquarters Production Project.

Going forward, Bishan District will use this year's WCIFIT as a springboard to fully implement the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and Chongqing Municipal Government's work plan, contributing its share to the comprehensive hub for inland opening-up. In the years ahead, Bishan will continue embodying the welcoming spirit of "Once you arrive, you are a Bishaner," with "one airport, four high-speed railways, six metro lines, and eight expressways" weaving the city together. Honored as a "National Model for Optimizing the Business Environment in Prosperous Chinese Cities," Bishan will redouble efforts to attract industry projects, striving to play an even greater role in building a new modern Chongqing.
