The 6th WCIFIT Opens in Chongqing with 1,748 Domestic and Foreign Companies Participating

On May 23, the 6th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) opened in Chongqing. This year's WCIFIT was themed "New Western China, New Manufacturing, New Services". A total of 1,748 enterprises from 40 countries and regions as well as 27 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and cities across China were participating in the event. The fair would run through May 26.

The 6th WCIFIT was focused on modern producer services such as logistics and distribution, financial services, and digital technology-enabled services. Highlighting collaborative cooperation, integrated opening-up, and common development in the western region, the fair would host 12 special activities including investment promotion and business matchmaking, new product and achievement releases, and special signing ceremonies.

The exhibition hall of this WCIFIT reached 130,000 square meters. It has established four major thematic exhibition zones: Comprehensive Display, Modern Services, Modern Manufacturing, and International and Regional Cooperation. The fair centrally showcased a series of new achievements, business models, technologies, scenarios, and trends. Focusing on fields such as industrial software, artificial intelligence, satellite internet, inspection and testing, and logistics and trade, it aimed to attract and land a batch of high-quality projects, promoting the conversion of fair participation into development outcomes.
