The Seventh Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade
The China Western International Investment and Trade Fair (WCIFIT), organized by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, is a significant international event in western China. It serves as a key diplomatic, trade cooperation, and investment promotion platform in the region, driving both international and domestic collaboration. It also offers an important window for the western region to showcase its image and expand openness and cooperation.
The 7th WCIFIT is scheduled to take place from May 22 to 25, 2025, at the Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center and the Chongqing Yu Lai International Convention Center. Under the theme of "New West, New Manufacturing, New Services," the fair aligns with the strategic positioning of Chongqing as a crucial fulcrum for the new-era Western Development and an inland open economy comprehensive hub. It will leverage its role in promoting the development of the western region, the Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-City Economic Circle, the New Western Land-Sea Channel, the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the construction of a national strategic inland area.
Focusing on the construction of modern industrial systems and the development of new productive forces, the fair aims to facilitate the deep integration of advanced manufacturing and productive services, and expand high-level opening up to the outside world. The exhibition area will be divided into three thematic zones: comprehensive image, international and regional cooperation, and modern industry, each featuring several specialized exhibition areas. The expected exhibition scale will reach 110,000 square meters.
During the fair, there will be a series of events, including the opening ceremony and major project signing ceremony, activities on how the productive service sector can boost the development of modern industries, foreign investment promotion events, international economic and trade activities, and a range of consumer promotion events.
