Open Up Jiangbei, Share the Future - The "Charming District" of Jiangbei Makes a Spectacular Appearance at the WCIFIT

        On May 18, 2023, the 5th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) and the 2023 CCI-ILSTC International Cooperation Forum opened in Chongqing. After the last WCIFIT, Jiangbei District once again participated as the only "Charming District" of Chongqing Municipality and made its first appearance in the Central Hall. Jiangbei District's enterprise, Chongqing Zhifei Biological Products Co., Ltd, was also invited to participate as one of the 2 key enterprise representatives of Chongqing Municipality, exhibiting in the Central Hall adjacent to the Jiangbei District booth.

The Jiangbei District booth is designed with the concept of "Spotlight on Jiangbei, Share the Future," showcasing Jiangbei District's commitment to planning comprehensively, serving the overall situation through local efforts, and continuously optimizing the business environment. It demonstrates how Jiangbei District works together with its people and enterprises to seek development and share a brighter future. A person in charge of the Jiangbei District booth introduced that the booth reflects that Jiangbei is a prosperous and rapidly developing area through four dimensions: "financial leadership, commercial prosperity, industrial upgrading, and scientific and technological innovation." It also expresses modern and forward-looking goals and concepts, and promotes the connotation of the new era.

Jiangbei District's consecutive selection as the only "Charming District" of Chongqing Municipality to participate in the WCIFIT is no accident. In 2022, the district topped the city in 9 key economic indicators, including total and proportion of district-level tax revenue, growth rate of value-added industrial output above designated size, growth rate of total retail sales of consumer goods, total commodity sales, total sales of the wholesale industry, growth rate of retail sales, total and increase in domestic and foreign currency deposits and loans. In the first quarter of this year, the economic development has been stable and improved. The 3 major pillars of finance, commerce, and industry are all showing positive trends. The total value of domestic and foreign currency deposits and loans ranks first in the city. The total commodity sales and the online sales of enterprises above the designated size also rank first in the city. The total import and export volume has increased by 53%, achieving a "good start" and a "red opening" in economic operations.

In the digital interactive area of the Jiangbei District booth, visitors can personally experience the "One-Stop Safety Supervision for Nine Types of Small Venues" application, which was piloted and developed by Jiangbei District first in the city, through smart devices. According to the introduction, the "nine types of small venues" refer to 26 categories of small places that are widely distributed in towns and communities, such as small workshops, small shops, small catering establishments, small schools, small storage facilities, small beauty salons, small hotels, small maintenance services, and small intermediary agencies. These places are characterized by their small scale, wide range of categories, extensive distribution, large quantity, difficulty in management, and high risk, making them a key focus for grassroots safety production supervisors.

"The 'One-Stop Safety Supervision for Nine Types of Small Venues' application is divided into 3 major sections: self-inspection and reporting by business owners, inspection and patrol by regulators, and big data analysis by the platform. It achieves integration with the YUKUAI Zheng (Chongqing Government Service Platform), YUKUAI Ban (Chongqing Citizen Service Platform), and a three-tier platform system. Through digital empowerment, it ensures that the entire process of business owners' implementation of primary responsibility and regulators' implementation of supervisory responsibility is traceable, realizing visual dynamic safety supervision for the 'nine types of small venues." The person in charge of the exhibition hall told reporters that this model has been fully implemented across Jiangbei District.

At this year's WCIFIT, Jiangbei District adopted the theme "Jiangbei: Share the Future" to showcase its latest achievements in integrating into the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. By leveraging digital empowerment for innovative development, the district demonstrates renewed commitment to building a core hub for the Western Financial Center and cultivating a premier zone for the International Consumption Center City, collectively sharing a new future.

According to the introduction, in addition to the exhibition, the Jiangbei District will also hold 8 rich and varied theme interactive activities at the venue of this WCIFIT. These include seminars and salons such as "Capital Market Transformation and Outlook under the New Situation," "Digital Empowerment of Manufacturing Innovation and Development," "Modern Finance Empowers the Construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle," and "The 'Beauty Economy' Aids the Construction of International Consumption Center Cities." There are also themed brand activities like "520! Love in the Good 'Food' Times," "Tasting Southeast Asian Premium Goods," "Selecting Healthy Yogurt Drinks," and "Jiangbei 'Bazaar' 'Flavor' Comes to You."
