Three-pronged Advancement in "Technology, Control and Industry": Chongqing's Low-altitude Manufacturing Output Value Exceeds RMB 10 Billion

For low-altitude flight, power serves as "heart", and control as "brain". On August 12, the reporter learned from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology that through deeply integrating artificial intelligence technology and conquering key core technologies, Chongqing’s low-altitude economy is accelerating its transformation from "key point breakthrough" to "chain-type coordination", continuously transforming the technical advantages into the industrial competitive advantages and realizing the three-pronged advancement in “technology, control and industry”.

In terms of scientific research and innovation layout of low-altitude economy, at present, the Chongqing Research Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology, based on Liangjiang New Area, is striving to make technological breakthrough on low-altitude equipment, and working together with Liangping District to build a low-altitude economic industry-university-research base to accelerate the gathering of core technologies, scientific research achievements and high-quality industrial resources, and to break through the complete chain of "R&D - pilot scale test - industrialization".

"Relying on the preliminary technology accumulation of the Institute, Chongqing will be accelerated to become a low-altitude economic demonstration city through the industrial layout of low-altitude equipment in Liangjiang New Area and Liangping District." The person in charge of Chongqing Research Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology said that such a mode of "university - local government coordination" would continue to shore up technical shortcomings of low-altitude equipment and accelerate the local industrialization transformation of cutting-edge scientific research achievements.

The aircraft should not only "fly for a long time", but also "be clearly monitored and well-controlled". At the same time of breaking through the long-endurance flight power technology, Chongqing also simultaneously improved the low-altitude flight management service system and laid institutional groundwork for industrial development.

For example, the "Comprehensive Management Service Platform for Chongqing Low-altitude Flight", jointly launched by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) and Chongqing City, is the first provincial low-altitude management & control platform to access military and civil aviation related data in China. Capable of city-wide flight management, city-wide safety supervision and full-factor flight service, it can realize the "one-window acceptance, one-stop online government services and city-wide service" of low-altitude flight across Chongqing.

Driven by technological innovation, Chongqing has established a full-chain technical innovation system for low-altitude manufacturing, covering core parts, complete machine manufacturing and system platform application. The synergistic effect of all links of the industrial chain is continuously released. By the end of last year, the output value of the low-altitude manufacturing industry of Chongqing broke through RMB 10.17 billion, and the industrial growth rate exceeded 30%, forming the multi-point development in power, perception, management & control and complete machine manufacturing for low-altitude industry.
