The 6th WCIFIT | Jiangbei District Signs 5 Major Projects Worth RMB 16.5 Billion

On May 23, the 6th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) opened at the Chongqing International Expo Center. The Jiangbei Pavilion made another appearance, creating the largest exhibition area among Chongqing's 38 districts and counties with an impressive 713 square meters.

As an important platform for economic and trade negotiations in Western China, investment cooperation is the "highlight" of WCIFIT every year. On that day, Jiangbei District signed a total of 5 major projects at the WCIFIT Signing of Key Projects, including the HeyGears Southwest Regional Headquarters Project, the Smart Cold Chain Logistics Prepared Food Industrial Park, among others. The projects involved a total investment of RMB16.5 billion, with both the number of signed projects and investment amount ranking among the top in the city.

These projects, marked by strong leadership, innovation, and growth potential, are expected to inject fresh momentum into Jiangbei's high-quality development. It is worth mentioning that Guangzhou HeyGears Intelligent Manufacturing Information Technology Co., Ltd. (HeyGears), a unicorn enterprise whose core is 3D printing applications and digital intelligent manufacturing technology, will carry out in-depth cooperation with Jiangbei District.

"Relying on the geographical advantages of Jiangbei District and the industry competitiveness advantages of HeyGears, the two sides will form complementary strengths. Through establishing its Southwest Headquarters in Jiangbei, HeyGears will accelerate business expansion in the Southwest region, connect with HeyGears's global resources, and smooth the domestic and international dual circulation of Chongqing's economy", said a relevant person in charge of HeyGears. The company will also set up a 3D printing equipment and product manufacturing center in Jiangbei District, undertaking functions such as 3D printing R&D, production, office, and display. It will independently or jointly with well-known domestic and foreign research institutions and enterprises establish key laboratories in 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and big data, building a forward-looking, strategic, and international digital industrial base, and creating a first-class domestic high-tech R&D and manufacturing base.

According to an official of the Jiangbei District Investment Promotion Bureau, since the beginning of this year, Jiangbei District has already signed contracts totaling over RMB40 billion, with more than 60 key enterprises settling in.
